About my person
As a senior psychiatrist at the 1st Psychiatric Department of the Penzing Clinic, I am in charge of the general psychiatric treatment ward 10/4 since 2014 and have also been working in independent practice since 2016. The goal of my work is to show people in crisis new ways, to develop solution strategies and to achieve an improvement in their quality of life. It has always been important to me to get to know psychiatry from a variety of perspectives. My path led me, among other places, to the Institute for Psychosomatics and the University Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy in Vienna, where I also completed the majority of my training; in addition, I was also involved there in the Psychiatric Intermediate Care Unit, in the development and expansion of the special outpatient clinics for Bipolar Disorders/ADHD and Memory Disorders, and in the clinical scientific research area. In 2022, I was on mission for Doctors Without Borders and was able to gain new experience in caring for people in crisis situations.

What can you expect at Healthy Mind-Praxis Gersthof?
Through many years of work in the fields of psychiatry, psychotherapy and psychosomatic medicine we know how difficult it can sometimes be to seek help. In our private practice at the heart of Gersthof, your well-being is our primary goal. We offer you a safe environment and pleasant atmosphere in which we take the time to address all questions regarding your mental health and well-being. and work with you to create an individual therapy plan which is based on the latest medical guidelines, and tailored to your specific needs.
What defines a Healthy Mind?
Stress, worry, sleep deprivation, problems at work, relationship issues, major life changing events, and more... there are a wide variety of things that can continually throw us off balance and consequently lead to symptoms such as anxiety, brooding, lack of energy, or sadness. These initial signs can subsequently develop further into various levels of psychiatric illness. At “Healthy Mind” we focus on improving mental strength and mental performance. A strong foundation for this includes self-confidence, motivation, and perseverance as well as control over our own thoughts and actions. These qualities make it easier for us to overcome failure, deal with adversity, and cope with our hectic everyday lives. In short, a healthy mind makes us more resilient, enhances our quality of life, and allows us to both embrace and enjoy life while maintaining our mental and physical health.
Our services
At the Gersthof Clinic we are able to offer a broad range of services due to our extensive years of experience in the outpatient and inpatient treatment of people with psychiatric illnesses.
Whether you are already suffering from a mental illness or have concerns and would like to undertake a review of your current mental status, we will carry out a detailed assessment with you in order to be able to offer you the best possible therapy.
After undergoing a detailed diagnostic assessment by a specialist, a therapy plan is then developed together with you.
Depending on your specific needs, the plan may include medical treatment and/or psychotherapy as well as techniques for pain relief, for trauma management and for increasing your resilience to stress. You can find more detailed information about what we specialize in down in the summary of each respective doctor.
